We loved Green rooms! The owners Lyn and Phil were super friendly and
the property is beautiful! A short walk to the beach and the shops,
the rooms have everything you could want and the attention to detail
is brilliant. The shower and lock up room for surfboards were an added
bonus. We loved the beautiful big bathroom and the skylights
throughout. Breakfast was the best too. With a huge variety to choose
from including the home made porridge and freshly made bread. We left
with very full stomachs! We would recommend this to anyone and will
definitely be returning.

“Such a relaxing place to stay, comfy beds and fabulous
home-cooked breakfast”
Such
a comfortable place to stay. Lynn and Phil were great hosts offering
friendly ,helpful but discrete help and service. Lots of little
things to make the stay comfy like fresh milk on request for tea,
homemade breakfasts - the granola was wonderful and the cooked
breakfast was substantial. There were homemade jams and a daily
breakfast special such as pastries or pancakes. There are only three
rooms and we took over all three for a local wedding. The rooms are
very fresh and clean, the beds comfy and the bathrooms new. The
sloping roof in the big upstairs room caused occasional problems.
One room is not ensuite and is a small double, but the big private
bathroom directly opposite makes up for it. None of the rooms had
chairs in them which I sometimes missed. Very polite friendly dog,
well trained and does not encroach on the bedrooms or dining room. I
gather they are very supportive of surfers with store areas etc but
we did not get involved with that. It is less than a mile to the
beach and there are pubs/shops and eating places even closer in
short walking distance. It was very quiet. I really recommend this
as a proper family run bed and breakfast.

“Superb”
What
can I say? Great place. Lovely rooms. Very nice. No complaints at
all. Lyn and Phil are the perfect hosts. Rocky (dog) very friendly
when he is allowed to meet the guests.

“Perfect”
Basically, I wish this place wasn't so nice as it's going to keep
getting good reviews and next year I won't be able to get a room
there! But praise should be given where it's deserved. The
room was lush, clean and quiet. I'm now thinking of doing my own
loft conversion to match. Breakfast was amazing, hospitality was
top notch (we even got a daily surf report from Phil). Perfect for
surfers or just a quiet weekend.

“Excellent B&B for Croyde”
Excellent B&B, wonderful hosts. We will definitely be returning again
to this very clean and comfortable B&B. The home made granola I had
at every breakfast is delicious. Thank you for the secret family
recipe, though I have not quite perfected it yet.

“Definitely Recommended!”
Our
stay at the B&B was great! The owners were so friendly and easy
going which helped in making us feel so welcome. The house in a
short walk from both the beach and the town centre - so location is
bonus! And as others have already mentioned, the breakfasts are
amazing! Who can say no to home made bread and granola. =)

“Would Really Recommend!”
Having just come back
from a lovely stay at the Green Rooms in Croyde, I just wanted to
say how lovely the B&B is! A very laid back friendly couple and a
really gorgeous house. Everything is new, clean and modern. Also the
breakfasts are simply the best!

“Great hospitality, food and location”
Lyn and Phil have a
beautiful bungalow which provides exceptional accommodation.
The breakfasts are full
and varied, well cooked and presented.
You will be made very
welcome and comfortable.
The Green Rooms are
very well situated for Croyde village and just a short walk to the
beach.
You will not find
better.

“Lovely”
Fab B&B, lovely modern
rooms and bathrooms. A great location with our fave beaches of
Saunton and Putsborough being very handy. Phil and Lynne were
patient knowledgeable and friendly hosts. We ate out at the The rock
as recommended by Lynne and it was superb (best steak ever) and had
a lovely cream tea at the National trust tea room at Baggy point.
Other highlights include surfing and a fab shellfish fish platter at
Morthoe shellfish. Kids enjoyed meeting Rocky the dog. The
breakfasts were very, very tasty and relaxed with the daily specials
adding interest to an already varied selection.

“A
great place to stay, with welcoming hosts and a great location.”
Brilliant - we would
recommend to anyone. Lyn and Phil welcomed us into Green Rooms where
the rooms were recently tastefully decorated, very clean, fresh and
comfortable. En-suite and bathroom great too. Breakfasts were
also wonderful as described by other visitors. In fact we choose
this accommodation because of the excellent reputation on
Tripadvisor of the breakfasts and we were not disappointed! It was
great to have an alternative to cooked breakfasts. Storage space for
boards and wetsuits if required. Green Rooms is very well
located between the fantastic beach (with surfing, volleyball,
rockpools, sandy beach with facilities) and the village. The village
itself has everything a good holiday village should have - ice ream
shops, bakery, post office and general store, toy shop, surfing
shops, surf schools, pubs, restaurants, fudge shop, art gallery,
public toilets and thatched cottages! Delightful. Croyde is a
great base for surfers, walkers and families too. We would
definitely go back and stay there - can't wait. Loved Green
Rooms, loved Croyde, loved Devon!!

Perfect location for a great break.”
Couldn't recommend
Green Rooms high enough, I think it only opened at Easter this year
and everything is immaculate and gleaming. Our hosts were thoughtful
and helpful and we even got sun for 3 days but I'm not sure I can
credit them for that! Our group took over the three rooms, all were
great but would particularly recommend the upstairs room up in the
loft, great views and lovely breeze but I did hit my head a couple
of times against the sloping ceiling. Location is good too, 5 mins
to town and maybe 10 to the beach.

"Wonderful place to stay, can’t
recommend it enough!”
The Green Rooms are perfectly situated
for Croyde. The owners strike the perfect balance of being welcoming
but not intrusive. The breakfasts are utterly delicious and the
Pancakes with Strawberries were the best I have ever tasted.
The rooms are very comfortable and clean. They have clearly been
recently renovated in a modern style (none of the horrible kitch i
have seen at other Devon B&B's!), with the bathrooms decorated to a
particularly high standard. The price is very reasonable and I
would have no hesitation in recommending this B&B to anyone.

Thank you Lyn and Phil
for a really lovely stay at your B&B, extremely impressed with the
room, the food and the price. Well worth every penny and will most
definitely be visiting again!!

I just wanted to say
thanks again - you have a lovely home and such a fantastic location
- the bed was sooo comfortable and I had one of the best nights
sleep I had had in months, followed by a very more-ish breakfast! I
really didn't want to leave so no doubt you may see us back!
Kiki and Stu, May 2010
Many
thanks for your wonderful hospitality and lovely accommodation, it
truly felt like home from home. Perfect location too, just right for
walking off dinner and strolling down to the beach.
It’s always a pleasure
to stay in Croyde and such a wrench to leave. Look forward to
returning soon.

“A very friendly
and comfortable B & B perfectly located between the beach and the
village.”
This
new B & B is run by Lyn and Phil who have spent the last year
converting and modernising their lovely bungalow. The rooms are
spacious and well equipped and very comfortable. We were on a
weekend surfing course so it was great to be positioned mid-way
between the beach and the village. The breakfasts were delicious, we
particularly liked the daily specials. There is a room where wet
suits can be hung out to dry. Lyn and Phil are both keen surfers so
they were able to give us plenty of useful advice. Croyde
Bay is situated between two
other stunning beaches, Saunton Sands and Putsborough. We will
definitely be booking with this B & B again.

“Excellent B&B with
young, friendly owners, fabulous breakfasts and no granny-decor in
sight”
We thoroughly enjoyed our
stay at Green Rooms B&B. The owners were young and really
friendly and helpful. Location was fantastic as it was a short walk
from the pub and the beach so you get the best of both worlds. They
are indeed very green. The B&B uses solar panels for heating and a
lot of the breakfasts are either home made or home grown. The
breakfast specials are highly recommended and our home made pancakes
with strawberries and maple syrup were to die for!
It was refreshing to stay
in a B&B that was so clean and had lovely contemporary decor. There
were no flowery curtains or dodgy carpets in sight. We'll definitely
be going back again.

“Exceeded my
expectations”
Lovely clean rooms.
Welcoming people. Fantastic food.
I think you guys are
under-selling yourselves.

“Best breakfast
ever!”
Fabulous B&B. Welcoming &
hospitable. Wow breakfasts! Lovely clean rooms. Used the surf board
storage, would fit bikes in too. Easy stroll to the beach. Abundance
of great pubs and restaurants in the area, some within easy walking
distance. Great surf too! Highly Recommend.

"Amazing B&B with
beautiful breakfasts and fantastic hosts !”
We
had a brilliant time at this B&B. We stayed in the double room with
private bathroom across the hall. Room was comfortable and
attractively furnished. Phil and Lyn made us feel very welcome and
we were very sad to be leaving at the end of our break. The
breakfast every morning was superb and the homemade granola was
lovely (I was very excited to see pancakes on the menu the first
morning of our stay). Croyde village is less than a 5 minute walk
away where you will find pubs, shops and ice cream ! All surf spots
are a short drive away (apart from Croyde Bay which is a short walk
from the accommodation). Brilliant to find that The Green Rooms has
surfboard and wetsuit storage which was a bonus. We visit Croyde
regularly and will definitely stay here the next time we venture
down west. Thanks to Lyn and Phil for a memorable stay.
